Southeast Extinguisher Service is a family owned business that provides fire extinguisher services; emergency light services; commercial restaurant fire system services; fire alarm services; marine and special hazards services; vehicle system service; hood cleaning; high and low hydro testing services, including DOT; first aid, CPR and fire extinguisher training; and first aid and safety supplies.
We have been providing services in Southeast Alaska and across the State since 2000.
We are looking for a First Aid & CPR Instructor who is seeking a rewarding opportunity to grow with our company and who puts passion, quality, integrity and customer service first in their work.
The qualified applicant for this position will be providing assistance with customers, both in person and over the telephone, as well as other general office duties, and instruct First Aid and CPR classes through American Heart Association.
The schedule is semi-flexible based on community training needs and applicant's available hours.
The office is open Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm and some classes may be evenings (scheduled to staffing availability).
This is a drug free work place for all Federally illegal drugs, including marijuana, due to our FAA and DOT drug program.
This position requires the following:
* a valid driver’s license and safe driving record during all times of employment
* customer oriented interpersonal skills
* confidence in public speaking and engaging students in learning
* must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend acceptable business English
* must have basic mathematical skills
* good verbal and written communications skills
* attention to detail
* regular and punctual attendance
* ability to work both independently and with other employees
* working knowledge of Word, Excel and Drive; Quickbooks knowledge a bonus
* must complete certification program for CPR/First Aid (training provided)
* keep up to date on current training updates and practices
* able to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted
