The Treasury Division of the Alaska Department of Revenue manages $46 billion in investments for the State’s retirement systems and other accounts.
Within the Treasury Division, the Middle Office is responsible for a variety of work including business analysis, performance analytics, enterprise risk, and investment compliance.

gov/ SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: As a member of the Middle Office section, you will support investment compliance, performance analytics, and provide crucial assistance to internal traders during market hours.
This role offers growth opportunities, contributing to the development of performance and portfolio analysis, and expanding compliance functions.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Investment Compliance Administer Bloomberg and SWIFT.
Review and monitor investment policies and guidelines.
Reconcile holdings and internal trades between Bloomberg, custody, and accounting.
Track overdrafts, recaptured commissions, and proxy voting.
Prepare monthly reports for the Alaska Retirement Management Board (ARMB) Audit Committee and the Department of Revenue Commissioner.
Investment Performance Reporting and Analysis Calculate and disseminate daily and monthly time-weighted performance.
Calculate and disseminate quarterly private market returns and metrics.
Contribute to expanding Middle Office’s investment-related capabilities using Bloomberg.
Other Duties Assist external auditors with performance and compliance inquires.
Assist internal staff with independent control reviews.
Analyze fees incurred by the Treasury Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Strong ethical awareness and integrity.
High-level of critical thinking and attention to detail.
Ability to independently research and develop ideas.
Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Relevant work experience.
Progress towards an advanced professional designation (e.
g.
, CPA, CIPM).
Experience with financial software tools.
Familiarity with programming languages and tools for data science (e.
g.
, Python, R, SQL).
